China South City Nanchang Started Commencing Construction Today
Hong Kong, 22 January 2010 -- China South City Holdings Limited (“China South City” or “the Group”, stock code: 1668.HK), one of the leading developers and operators of large-scale, integrated logistics and trade centers in China, announced that its 100% controlled entity China South City Nanchang (“CSC Nanchang”) started commencing construction today, and held a large-scaled ground-breaking ceremony at Honggutan New District in Nanchang this morning.
According to the new construction schedule, CSC Nanchang will have a total GFA of approximately 4.28 million square meters upon completion, including trade centers, integrated logistics and warehousing facilities, integrated commercial facilities, integrated residential facilities and car parks. Upon completion, CSC Nanchang will be a large-scale integrated platform for industrial materials and commodity trade centers in central China, serving a wide array of industries including metal tools, electrical and mechanical accessories, metallurgy and mineral products, electronic and electrical products, construction and decoration materials, medical and pharmaceutical products and equipment, daily products, textile & clothing, leather & accessories, chemical and plastics, etc.
Construction work of CSC Nanchang will be carried out in three phases. Phase One will have a GFA of approximately 1.2 million square meters. Its construction has started today and the entire project is expected to be completed in 2012. Estimated development cost, which will be invested in phases, is over RMB8 billion. Over 30,000 enterprises will operate in CSC Nanchang upon its completion.
In December 2009, the Group successfully acquired a parcel of land situated at Honggutan New District in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province by way of public tender, auction or listing for sale at a total consideration of RMB555.35 million. The site covers a total area of approximately 1.05 million square meters and forms part of CSC Nanchang. The remaining parcel of the land will be acquired in the next acquisition.
CSC Nanchang is situated in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, which is the provincial capital city connecting Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta and Minnan Delta, three of China’s most significant business development areas with enormous growth potential. It is also the largest port on the Gan River, providing an easy access to Duchang, Ruihong, Zhouxi, and Lianhu. CSC Nanchang, which is situated in this accessible location, will bring enormous and rapid growth to the central China regions.

Apart from Shenzhen and Nanchang, China South City is also expanding into Nanning and Xi’an to develop modernized large-scale industrial materials and commodity trade centers targeting the Southeast Asia and China’s northwest markets.
